Open Level Pilates Mat

The Pilates Core Principles are the cornerstone of this class as we explore intelligent ways of moving to ease joint pain and improve posture.  Everyone is welcome, modifications will be given as needed. 

Mondays, 12:00pm–12:45pm ET and Wednesdays, 4:30pm-5:15pm ET

Stretch

Stave off the afternoon slump with this invigorating stretch class.  In addition to gaining flexibility, this class helps improve balance, gait and posture.  A theraband or a hand towel is recommended to assist with stretches.

30min Pilates-based HIIT Workout

High-Intensity Interval Training classes have been gaining popularity over the years.  A small time commitment has big payoffs without having to invest in any equipment.  These HIIT workouts have shown to improve oxygen and blood flow while lowering your blood pressure and blood sugar.  Studies even show you continue burning calories after the workout is over! 

This class teaches traditional HIIT exercises through the lens of Pilates to help you get the most out of any HIIT class.

Thursdays, 8:30am–9:00am ET

Pilates + Strength Training

Open to everyone -- including those with osteoporosis -- this class addresses issues associated with frozen shoulder, carpal tunnel syndrome, and poor balance.  By emphasizing weight-bearing exercises, this class helps to slow the progression of bone loss.  We incorporate hand-weights and theraband resistance while maintaining proper biomechanics.

Pilates is the BEST exercise for pregnant women! Your exercise needs will change from month to month as your baby grows. Pilates is adaptable and can offer an array of exercises appropriate for each stage in your pregnancy.  Prenatal and Postpartum workouts are coming soon to our Online Studio video library.

a note about osteoporosis

At Balance, our approach to exercise through Pilates helps stimulate bone growth by challenging the deep postural muscles of the shoulder, spine and pelvis.  Proper core strengthening combats slouching by focusing on posture and spinal decompression.  Our osteoporosis-friendly Pilates classes utilize the foam rollers and other props to provide a challenging, eye-opening and SAFE Pilates workout.

Online Classes and Private Lessons

Our virtual studio allows you to have your Pilates mat session in the convenience of your own home. All you need is an exercise mat, tablet or laptop with a webcam, internet connection and a free Zoom account. You’ll never have to miss a Pilates session again!
